Video from Behind the Scenes

This weekend has been one of the longest weekends ever for SFA (with many more to come), not only did we have the model casting call but a huge photo shoot production as well. It went from 10am-10pm, with a slew of photographers, hair/makeup artists and models coming in and out throughout the day. If there was actually a definition for organized mayhem, Friday's photoshoot would be it. The amount of talent that was present is beyond words so I'll let the video do the talking. Needless to say, the entire prepping of this shoot was done in 1 WEEK that included 2 days of late-night pre-styling that went well into the wee hours of the night. Enormous thanks to Sam for posting/editing this so quickly & to our own project director Mina, who forfeited the spotlight to become our videographer for the night. Photos will be up shortly, enjoy!

It's No Longer a Secret...

Secrets Fashion Agency Visionary/Founder/Super Girl, Angel Yang has been making her rounds with the local (and national) press. Yesterday afternoon, the semi-rare 30+ temps allowed for a perfect day for an outdoor shoot and that is exactly what SFA was up to. Local designer, Frances Zerr (whom Angel is also the assistant stylist to for the Voltage Spring Fashion Show) asked her to model the S/S 2011 collection which was shot by local fashion bloggers, the Minneapolis Affair. Covering the shoot were the writers from U of M paper, MN Daily who published the article on the front page this week, which you can read here. Basically, we accomplished 6 outfits & 3 different press outlets in 3 hours. It's official, the SECRETS out. Here are some shots we took from our own camera of the organized mayhem.

Featured: Director, Angel Yang in LUCKY MAGAZINE

LADIES & GENTLEMEN,
Allow me to introduce myself, ;) <---that's a winking smiley face if you didn't catch on. =) eeeek. I have been so busy that I haven't had the time to write a decent "personal" blog post. Before I begin blabbing off and turning this post into a book I'd like to thank, Ellen Dahl of The Minneapoline for photographing me and giving me the opportunity of being featured in Lucky Magazine (March 2011 Issue, pg 130)! Lucky Magazine traveled to four of their favorite shopping cities and worked with photographers who snapped photos of different street styled fashionistas =) I was LUCKY <--haha get it, lol sorry i'm geeked... enough to be chosen to be featured for style portion of the magazine. I can honestly say, I have been truly blessed with the opportunity. I guess I hadn't realized how crazy it was for me to be in Lucky Magazine until my cousins from out of state started texting me about the issue and seeing me in the magazine. I know it's not a full page write up but something is better than nothing. Again, THANK YOU Ellen Dahl of The Minneapoline and Lucky Magazine. Well that concludes this post, it's official, I'm national! =D

Interview: NSOD, Behind the Dreams

We had the pleasure of attending the NSOD (nah-sahd; Never Stop On Dreams) 2011 Collection launch party and interviewing founder, dream-chaser-- Gerald Edwards Jr. Needless to say, the kid is truly talented and inspiring. I don't want to give too much away because the video will be up shortly, so here are some snapshots of what happens when you never stop on dreams. Enjoy! xxo- davee
