Resort 2012

The last of the Resort shows have been presented so I just wanted to share a few of my favorites, but first here are some major trends I saw throughout the collections: sheer fabrics, bold color-blocking, hot pink/magenta, and the "new suits".

Acne: color blocking at it's best, love the funky mix of pants underneath dresses, especially the combination on the far right.
sheer, pleats and platforms-- yes please.

Hot pink trousers.. Zara, please make a copycat ASAP.

The newer version of the new suit: in floral

the classic LBD gets a little facelift in sheer fabric with an oversized belt

All white, everything.

You know I love my sweats with heels so when I saw this mint green version of the aforementioned pairing, I died. And omg, the SHOES. Gimme.

Michael Kors:
huge futuristic shades, baggy rugby sweater dress, masculine sandals.. sport with perfection

SFA x Joan Erakit of the BrownGirlFiles/Frank151

Halfway through 2011 and I think I can speak for everyone at Secrets Fashion Agency when I say that we've met some pretty amazing people along the way. One of these amazing people happens to be Joan Erakit of The Brown Girl Files and a contributing style writer for Frank151 whom we've recently had the honor of collaborating with on a photoshoot. Being the jack of all trades, Joan is highly versed in all things art, fashion and music. It's easy to spot her in a crowd, she'll be the one immaculately dressed in a glamorous, floor-length skirt and quirky red frames. More details (secrets) on the photoshoot will be revealed in weeks to come. For now, enjoy the behind the scenes video of the SFA x the Brown Girl Files shoot.

Trunk Show: Inspire by Gaochen & Nonmala

This past Saturday at b. (a resale shop) we attended and supported the designer duo, Gaochen & Nonmala at their trunk show, Inspire. Both sister designers participated in our Secret Garden Fashion Show earlier this year in April. We were welcomed with sparkly champagne and delicious desserts. The collection consisted of classic inspirational vintage pieces and beautifully hand crafted jewelry. We couldn't resist purchasing ourselves a necklace and cuff bracelet. If you haven't heard of Inspire by Gaochen & Nonmala be sure to keep your eyes and ears open because not only are they the ultimate designer sister duo, they're a new wave of inspiration to MPLS. Enjoy a few photos courtesy of Inspire by Gaochen & Nonmala from the trunk show.
